Interview with St Albans Marquetry Group

On the show today we heard from Gordon Negus of the St Albans Marquetry Group.

The group was founded in 1976 for the ancient craft of making pictures and designs using wood veneers. Meetings are friendly and informal, and open to all above 16 years who wish to try this fascinating hobby.

Beginners and new members are welcome and a course of instruction is given in all the basic techniques by experienced members of the group. Low cost tools and materials are available from the club shop.

The group meets at Greenwood Park Community Centre, Tippendell Lane, Chiswell Green, near St Albans on Wednesday evenings, from 7.00pm - 9.00pm.
