Interview with Pam Farley of the Woodland Trust

On Thursday's show we had Pam Farley from the Woodland Trust join us on the phone to talk about the trust and also about the Heartwood Forest Festival at the weekend.

This interview was a last minute arrangement and, as such, we did not have enough time to publicise it properly. We didn't even know it was going to happen until about 10 minutes beforehand.

The Heartwood Forest Festival is the trust's interactive woodland art event to celebrate trees and woodlands which will be held on Saturday 29th August, 11am - 3pm.It will be centred around Langley Wood at Heartwood Forest, Sandridge; enter from Sandridgebury Lane.

The whole family can come and join in with:

* Teddy bears picnic
* Charcoal and chalk drawing
* Summer sketching and colouring activities
* Leaf and bark rubbing
* Willow weaving and sculpting
* Story telling
* Bird box making
* Large mural creation
* Bushcraft for teddy bears
* Green wood turning
* Guided walks
* Woodland sculptures
* Scavenger hunt
