Interviews and Theme Tune Challenge Update

Hi everyone,

On the show today we heard from Anna Crompton of Trestle Arts Base. Trestle Arts Base is based in Russett Drive, St Albans and has a rolling programme of plays, classes and community projects. Of special interest is the Story Tent, which is for those up to 6 years old, and is about creating a story based on audience interaction and participation. The event is to take place on Saturday 5th September and is completely free! The theme will be the story of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly and sessions will take place at 10am, 11.30am and 1pm. If you would like your child to take part, give Trestle a call on 01727 850950 or email takingpart@trestle.org.uk. For more information on this and all the other events Trestle have organised you can check out the website at www.trestle.org.uk.

We also heard from Gill Knibbs of a St Albans organisation called the Ver Poets. Ver Poets is a group of around 40 people who meet on the 3rd Friday of each month to enjoy poetry reading, writing and listening. They meet next on Friday 18th September - everyone is welcome. For more information, check out the website at www.verpoets.org.uk.
