The Gig Guide - Review & Tracklisting - 20th March 2009

Greetings all,

Well another show over and not a bad show at all if I say so. We started our 'Track Of The Week' feature off to a flying start with tonight's opening track and congratulations go to Paramanza as our first winners.

We also had a great interview with Danny & Ray from 'Bebop & Rocksteady' who were talking about there recent ventures as well as their rather amazing line up of future gigs.They'll be playing at tonight's (Friday) White Rabbit Promotions gig at The Horn and yours truly will be there. If you're looking for me, I look like this:

On this week's show we have Bebop & Rocksteady with us, talking about there latest happenings as well as hearing some of their latest tunes as they prepare for another fantastic gig at The Horn that evening.

We also have music from Fuel For Tired Minds as well as our Outro track and our new feature, Track of The Week, where i'll be picking my favourite track by this week's selection of local bands and then forwarding it on to my fellow Radio Verulam presenters for them to play on their show.

As regular listeners will know, we have our weekly Entertainment Guide, Simon Carver, joinin us to look at what's on at the cinema, DVD releases and the best of films on TV for the forthcoming week. Simon will be with us from 5.30pm - 6pm today.

Please note that this feature will be moving to Wednesdays from next week.

Also, an advance notice about tomorrow's show. We have a special live interview with singing sensation Tony Christie!!! Tony will be joining us during the second hour of tomorrow's show.

Hi everyone

In the second hour of today's show we will be talking rubbish with Joanna Lumley! Best known for her roles in The New Avengers and Absolutely Fabulous, Joanna Lumley is currently spearheading a new recycling campaign and will be talking with me about it.

There will also be our "Time Tunnel" feature in the first hour of the show, plus travel, weather, news, on this day in history and your requests.

The Gig Guide: Review & Tracklisting - Fri 15th March 2009

Greetings all,

It was an excellent show this week, including a brilliant interview with Paul Littler. Also a big thankyou to Royal Flush who not only gave us a first play of their latest track but also for the rather lovely t-shirt. I'll post up a picture of me wearing it at some point, promise!

Also worth mentioning the Red Nose gigs by Swanvesta Social Club who visited five different venues and playing in a short amount of time before moving on to the next one. It would be great to hear some feedback about the evening and how they got on, so if anyone went along to any of the gigs, then drop me a message.
